Judy Yates was a coworker of mine and had brought some wildlife pictures to work. I was very impressed with the work; at that time I had a picture of a wolf and I asked Judy if she could paint it for me. The work was stunning — it matched the picture perfectly! I felt that if I reached out and touched the painting, I would be touching actual fur. There are times that I almost feel like I'm looking at a real wolf! What impresses me most is the level of personal expression in the work. It is fantastic. I would definitely have Judy paint something for me again.

When I tell people about her paintings I tell them that they're very detailed and lifelike and that she always paints exactly from the pictures. I like the fact that she works with you to make it look exactly like it should. If you don't like it, she fixes it — like that. She made tombstones for our family pets which were very tasteful.
